General Data Protection Regulation - Privacy Notice 2018

Under the new GDPR coming into force at the end of May 2018, I am required by law to document what personal information I keep for all clients, whether they be a one off appointment or regular clients.

At the time of booking your appointment I will take information including all or some of the following; your name, email address and contact telephone number, and your address if the event is in your home.

I am required to keep this information for legal, accounting and insurance purposes. All information is kept for a period of 6 full tax years from initial communication after which it will be securely destroyed unless you are still a client of mine. You do have the right to see any information I keep and you can request that any data be changed or securely destroyed.

I do not use the information for anything other than to contact you regarding your appointment or to discuss matters relating to your event.

I will never pass your personal information to any third party.

I will never use your personal information for marketing purposes although I would like to publish pictures taken during your events and events open to the public. No names etc will be used.

Anyone who is photographed will have been asked for verbal consent (including parents/guardians of children) and will be made fully aware where I will be using the pictures (potentially Facebook, Instagram and printed materials). The customer’s right to refuse photos being taken or published is paramount, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Any information given to me via the message service on my social media accounts is only accessible by myself. You may request that once I have attended your event or taken pictures at the public event, all personal data be deleted.

Any information you have given me via text message on my mobile phone is accessible only by myself and my phone is locked with a security code. Any information that you have given me via email is accessed through a secure server. You may request that these text messages and/or emails are deleted once I have attended your event.

This legislation is effective from 25th May 2018, if you would like me to remove any pictures taken prior to this date please do not hesitate to contact me, I will remove them straight away.
